Compatibility & Pre-Order Checks
- Confirm the required lens option, lane geometry, target distance, vehicle speed, and plate region.
- Verify recorder or VMS support for ANPR metadata, search, event handling, and configured streams.
- Confirm mounting, lighting, firmware, regional suffix, and project-specific recognition requirements.
Related Resources
Planning a dedicated vehicle capture lane
The iDS-2CD7A46G0/P-IZHS(Y) is a 4MP ANPR bullet-camera family with motorized varifocal options. Plan it around a defined vehicle capture point rather than expecting a wide overview image to provide readable plates everywhere.
Entrance lanes and loading gates
For a parking entrance or logistics gate, identify where a vehicle plate must be captured and measure the near and far limits of that zone. Keep general yard coverage separate from this capture task. A clear overview helps an operator understand an event, but the plate capture image must be assessed at the actual lane.
Select a lens and suffix, not only a resolution
The current selector lists 2.8-12 mm and 8-32 mm versions, with IZHS and IZHSY suffixes. Compare the desired lane width and plate detail at both limits before choosing a lens. Confirm the suffix-specific interfaces from the exact supplied model; do not infer gate-controller compatibility from ANPR alone.
Recorder integration and night acceptance
Agree how captured plates will be searched, retained and associated with recordings. Test representative vehicles, headlights, direction of travel and the installed angle at night. An illumination range is not a guaranteed plate-reading distance, and a recognition percentage in a specification is not a guarantee for a new site.
Application questions
- Can this replace a camera covering the entire car park?
- Use it for a defined vehicle capture task. Assess separate overview coverage where the lane camera cannot show the whole site.
- Should I select 4MP instead of 2MP automatically?
- Compare plate detail in the planned capture zone and recorder demand. More pixels alone do not correct a poor mounting angle, incorrect lens or unsupported plate format.
