Frequently asked questions

Why are there 32 channels but only 16 PoE ports?

The recorder can manage up to 32 IP channels, while sixteen cameras can connect directly to its PoE ports. Remaining channels connect through the network.

Does 8K output mean every camera records in 8K?

No. Display output and camera recording resolution are separate. Each camera stream and the recorder decoding layout must stay within the published limits.

Can all AI functions run simultaneously at maximum channel count?

No. Analytics share processing resources, and capacity changes with algorithm, resolution and camera-side support. Plan the required mix first.

How should four-drive storage be sized?

Estimate the average bitrate for every camera, recording hours, retention days and reserve. Confirm the current compatible drive capacity before ordering.
