Can all 16 PoE ports power high-demand cameras?

Port count does not replace a power calculation. Add each camera maximum demand and stay within the recorder total PoE budget.

Does the NVR run every AI function on all channels?

No. Processing capacity varies by algorithm, stream resolution and whether analytics run on the NVR or compatible cameras.

Are hard drives included?

Do not assume so. Confirm the ordered package and select compatible surveillance drives for the required retention and workload.

When is a separate PoE switch still useful?

Use external switching when cameras are remote, the PoE budget is insufficient, fiber uplinks are required or the network design needs managed-switch features.
